JANUARY – FEBRUARY 2023 NEWSLETTER

Miss Cindy, the teachers and staff wish to thank all of you for your generosity and thoughtfulness during the holiday season.  We hope all of you had a wonderful holiday and we wish you all the best for the New Year.

Our school closes only when Quakertown school district closes due to inclement weather.  Cancellations will be sent by email and a message will be on the studio phones.  Dancers, please attend your scheduled makeup class for any classes missed.  Gymnasts, please call 215-257-4121 or 215-536-6755 and schedule a makeup class.  

All company dance classes and the gymnastic teams are preparing for the competition.  You must attend your classes unless you are sick.  Parents, please notify the studio when your child is absent, so we know where your child is.  The competition date is set for May 5, 6, and 7.

Reminder – February tuition is due the first week of January.  Please make sure your February tuition is paid and that your costume is paid in full.  All costumes must be paid in full.  Costumes are starting to arrive.  Please put them in a safe place.  The final costume payment was due the week of December 12.          

Solos, duos, and trios will be billed if 24 hours cancellation notice is not given.  Teachers must be paid for the time even when your child does not show up.

Reminder:  All Christmas Show Cast Members:  Costumes must be cleaned and returned next week – Jan. 9, 10, and 11 in Studio I from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.  Please wash or dry clean each costume and return all accessories. Thank You!!!!

DANCE NEWS:  

We have a few openings in our tot, pre-school and kindergarten dance classes.  We also have vocal lessons available.  Please call the studio at 215-536-6755 to schedule a class.  We also have a drop-in adult tap class at our Perkasie studio on Mondays at 7:00 p.m. for $15.00 per class.  Come out and exercise and have fun at the same time.

Attention Parents and all Students:  Here is a calendar of events for various activities involving all students and Broad Street Entertainers.  Please be sure to highlight any that applies to your child.  Thank you!

Friday, April 28 and 29 

Photos  at the Quakertown studio for all students.  You will receive a photo note for your photo time, hair style, tights and shoes.

May 4, 5, 6 & 7  

Competition for Broad Street Entertainers at the Crowne  Plaza,

260 Mall Blvd., King of Prussia 

All competition forms and payments must be in by Monday, Feb. 6

Quakertown Arts Alive at 10:00.

Rehearsal for the gym show for all gymnasts

Welcome to our

March / April Newsletter 2023

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Visiting:  Dance & Gymnastics – We will be holding parent observation for dance and gymnastic classes beginning Monday, March 27 and ending Saturday, April 1. Anyone wishing to videotape or take pictures may do so at this time.  We ask you to limit the number of small children you bring to visiting.  Please keep the conversation soft during class, as it is very distracting to the students and teachers.  Classes will be dismissed 15 minutes early during visiting. There will be no make-up classes during dance and gym visitation.  Thank You!

Special note to all Gymnastic parents: All parents must stay off the gym floor, you are allowed in the visiting area only.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Gym Show:  The gym show for the gym team and all gymnastic classes will be on  Saturday, June 3 at Quakertown Christian School at 10:00 a.m.  Rehearsal will be Friday, June 2.

Reminder – April tuition is due the first week of March.  A 10% service fee will be added to all outstanding tuition after the 15 of the month.  No exceptions.  March tuition is due now.

All company dance classes are preparing for the competition in May.  You must attend your classes unless you are sick.  Please call when you will be absent due to illness.

Easter Closing:  All studios will be closed Thursday, April 6, Friday, April 7, Saturday, April 8 and Monday, April 10  for the Easter holiday.  Please come to your scheduled make-up times.  Classes will resume on Tuesday,  April 11.

Upcoming Events:  Photo Dates: Friday, April 28 and Saturday, April 29.   You will receive a photo note and time regarding your child’s costume.  Photo notes will have the date, the time and information regarding tights, shoes, and hair style for that costume.  If your child received their solo, duo, or trio costume please schedule a photo time in the office for the 28 or 29.

Bring a Friend:  Students may bring a friend beginning Monday, May 15 through Saturday, May 20 to participate in a dance class.  Come in comfortable clothing (dance students only).  Gymnastics students may bring a friend to observe only.  NO participation due to insurance reasons.

Miss Cindy’s School of Dance was voted the best dance studio for 2023 by the Penny Power readers.  Thank you for voting for us.  

Come see the Broad Street Entertainers perform on May 20 at 10:00 a.m. in Downtown Quakertown for the Day of the Arts.
