October & November 2019 Newsletter

School Closing – Dance and Gymnastics –The studio will be closed on Halloween, Thursday, October 31 so children may go trick or treating. The studio will be closed for the Thanksgiving Holiday starting on Wed., November 27, including Nov. 28, 29 and 30. We will reopen on Monday, December 2 with the regular class schedule. Please attend your make-up class time. Gymnasts must sign-up in advance with the studio secretary at 215-257-4121 for gym make-up classes.

Special discount offered – Bring a new student to sign up during November only and receive a $5.00 credit on tuition. Please no new students during our upcoming observation week.

Reminder –Dec. tuition is due the first week of November. Tuition is due one month in advance. Please check your envelope to make sure you are up to date.

Solos, duos, & trios will be billed if 24 hours cancellation is not given.

Class openings – There are still a few openings for dance and gymnastics. This is your last chance to register for classes to be able to participate in our recitals and gym meets. There is a new contemporary style dance class on Thursdays at 6:15 in Perkasie. There is a musical theatre class on Tuesdays at 7:30 in Quakertown. Call 215-536-6755 to be added to the classes.

Special: Halloween Costume sale : Come visit our Quakertown studio for a large selection of dress up costumes for pre-schoolers and tots starting at $6.00 each. Costumes are also available for older children to adults.

Halloween Parade – I would like to thank all of the parents who will chaperone at the Halloween parade on Oct. 27, either walking or riding on the truck. A special thanks to Eric Dauter for the birthday cake and to Matt Walsh, B. Blair Excavating, for driving the truck in the parade.

Observation days: Our first observation days will be held the week of November 18 – 23. All classes will be dismissed fifteen minutes early for any questions. We ask that no small children be brought to Observation Days, as it is distracting to the class and it is very hard for a small child to sit through the class. Please try to give your child as much praise as possible after class. It's hard to perform in front of a large audience! You may take photos or videotape during class.

Reminders - All dance and gymnastic classes must have their hair tied up (no hard ponytail holders for gymnasts). All ballet students should have a leotard, tights, shoes and their hair in a bun, no bangs. Skirts are optional. All students should wear the appropriate dance or gym attire. No Street Wear. Thank You!!!!

Snow closings – Our studio will close for inclement weather only when Quakertown School District closes or dismisses early due to the weather. (Please come to your scheduled make-up class) We do not follow the schools schedule for holidays and in service days.

Safety first: Please be careful when crossing the street with your child in front of the studios. Many times parents will not see little children going between parked cars. Please assist your child crossing the street and bring them to the door and please do the same when picking them up. Students coming to class and remaining at the studio between classes can only be supervised by our staff if they remain inside our building. They can do their homework in the studio while they wait. If the students are allowed by their parents to leave the building we ask them to sign out at the front desk. Please send a note with your child if he/she has your permission to leave.

* We must have a note if someone different is picking up your child.*

Birthday parties- Celebrate your birthday at Miss Cindy's with a dance or gymnastic party. We set up and clean up and have a wonderful time with your child and guests. Please call the studio @ 215-536-6755 if you are interested. Hurry before your special day is taken.

CHRISTMAS ENTERTAINMENT: Please bring the entire family to our special presentation of “THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR” ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 7 AT 1:00 P.M. AND AT 6:00 P.M. at PALISADES High School. What a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday with your children and see dancing dolls, polar bears, elves, and much more. There will be a special visit from the man in the red suit. Bring your camera for photos with Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the elves. It will be a memorable show and includes children of all ages. The show is 1 ½ hours and includes costumes, beautiful sets, snow, and lovely Christmas caroling. Ticket orders are available now.
